Self-management design for women’s pelvic health

Empowering Women’s Pelvic Floor Health: The role of co-designed digital self-management support technology across an ICS

getUBetter is pleased to be hosting a webinar on the 9th of November 2023 at 12:30-1:30pm.

Join female leads from SW London and South Yorkshire ICSs as they share their insights and experiences from co-designing with getUBetter a digital self-management support tool to highlight the importance of women’s pelvic floor health and its deployment at scale across their organisations.

Women’s pelvic floor health is a vital aspect of overall well-being affecting quality of life at every age, but especially during the perinatal period and then again at the time of perimenopause and menopause. In the United Kingdom, 1 in 3 women will experience a pelvic floor disorder in their lifetime, a condition commonly normalised and misunderstood. Women often report a lack of confidence. Fortunately, advancements in digital self-management technology have paved the way for more accessible and effective solutions, revolutionising pelvic floor health for women in the UK. Southwest London Integrated Care System co-produced and launched a support pathway for women to develop the skills and confidence to self-manage. The pelvic health support which includes general pelvic floor health, pelvic health in pregnancy, and pelvic health after birth is now available at every GP practice, the women’s health physiotherapy department and at urogynaecology clinics across the ICS. South Yorkshire ICSs are in the process of deploying the support across their pathway.
