ORUK Announces New Research Fellowships

Applications are open for ORUK research fellowships in partnership with the BOA, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, British Scoliosis Society (BSS) and The British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS).

Two BOA/ORUK fellowships of up to £65k are available for a project in any area of orthopaedics including basic science, diagnosis, treatment, surgical technology, AI, logistics or audit. The research can be self-contained or part of a wider research programme and should be integral to the applicant pursuing a higher degree. BOA Members at any trainee grade and SAS surgeons are invited to apply. Applications are closing on 29th April 2024.

Applications are open for a Joint ORUK / The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Research Fellowship in Orthopaedics. Worth up to £60,000 per annum, the deadline for applications is 23 May at 23:59. Applicants must be a Member or Fellow of the College in good standing.

ORUK is also funding a new, two-year spine research fellowship of up to £70k in partnership with The British Scoliosis Society (BSS) and The British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS). The fellowship is aimed at individuals with an interest in research into any spinal area. The closing date for applications is Friday 3 May 2024 at 17:00.
