JIA Awareness Week: 13 – 17 June 2022

JIA logoAfter the success of RA Awareness Week, this year NRAS is having its first JIA Awareness week #SameJIADifferentDay, which will run from the 13th to 17th June 2022.

When NRAS staff speak to parents, children and adults with JIA, the same conversation comes up: how can we get people to understand that some days people living with JIA can do things like go for long walks or play football, when other days they really struggle to get out of bed or climb the stairs at work?

NRAS wants to make more people aware that for those who live with JIA, each day is not the same. JIA is a fluctuating condition and even on medication, each day can be different. NRAS would like to hear your stories, so please send them to debbiew@nras.org.uk and they may be used to help with the campaign. There will be other ways to get involved and you will be able to sign up in March. Please keep an eye out at jia.org.uk for more information.
