This research aims to better understand what it means to live with and manage chronic pain, from everyone’s perspective. You now have the opportunity to say what matters to you by participating in this survey.
By answering the questionnaire, you can help overcome some of the current uncertainties and challenges of chronic pain management. Your knowledge will enable the researchers to collaborate closely with patients and patient organizations to develop better care that are meaningful for people living with chronic pain and their families.
You are eligible if you belong to one of the following descriptions:
- Person living with chronic pain.
- Informal caregiver/relative to a person living with chronic pain (for instance: a family member or a friend of someone with chronic pain).
- Healthcare professional working with people living with chronic pain (for instance: medical doctor, physiotherapist, psychologist, occupational therapist, chiropractor).
The survey consists of a short, anonymous questionnaire with open-ended questions, available in English or Danish. It will take approximately 10 minutes of your time to complete.
The project is a collaboration of international researchers, patients, and patient organizations led by Aalborg University (AAU) in Denmark and The Danish Association of Chronic Pain Patients (FAKS). Their mission is to improve the treatment of chronic pain.
The project is led by Chris Djurtoft (cdjurt@dcm.aau.dk) and Professor Michael Skovdal Rathleff Aalborg University (AAU). The survey is conducted in collaboration with Center for General Practice at Aalborg University (CAM AAU). The project is supported by The Danish Rheumatism Association (R222-A8231), and the protocol has been approved by The North Denmark Region Committee on Health Research Ethics.
