The National Orthopaedic Alliance has opened entries for the second annual NOA Excellence in Orthopaedics Awards. The awards recognise NOA member organisations, projects and teams that have distinguished themselves through exemplary contributions, influence, and commitment to transforming services across orthopaedics.
There are seven awards open for entries this year:
- Partnerships and Integration Initiative;
- Working Towards Net Zero;
- Innovation in Orthopaedics;
- Supporting Patients on their Pathway;
- Workforce Retention Initiative;
- Workforce Recruitment Campaign;
- and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion.

On 19 January 2023, getUBetter is running a webinar with Somerset MSK Physiotherapy service practitioners to discuss their experiences of implementing the getUBetter digital self-management tool across their clinical services. They will share the results of their evaluation of the app’s impact across the service, where they found a 50% reduction in patients needing physiotherapy after the getUBetter app was given to those on their waiting list.
