Entries open for NOA Excellence in Orthopaedics Awards

The National Orthopaedic Alliance has opened entries for the second annual NOA Excellence in Orthopaedics Awards. The awards recognise NOA member organisations, projects and teams that have distinguished themselves through exemplary contributions, influence, and commitment to transforming services across orthopaedics.

There are seven awards open for entries this year:NOA Excellence awards

  • Partnerships and Integration Initiative;
  • Working Towards Net Zero;
  • Innovation in Orthopaedics;
  • Supporting Patients on their Pathway;
  • Workforce Retention Initiative;
  • Workforce Recruitment Campaign;
  • and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion.

NOA Annual Members Conference 2023

NOA conferenceThe third NOA Annual Members’ Conference will take place on Thursday 19 October 2023 from 8:30am – 4:30pm at Birmingham Conference and Events Centre, Birmingham.

BSPRM-BASCIS Annual Scientific Conference

BSPRM-BASCIS joint conferenceThe 2023 edition of the BSPRM (British Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine) annual scientific meeting will run jointly with the annual BASCIS (British Association of Spinal Cord Injury Specialists) and Guttmann meeting. This brings together all the key professionals in different streams of specialist rehabilitation, including spinal cord injury rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation, trauma rehabilitation and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

NOA Annual Conference – Save the Date

The NOA is excited to announce their third NOA Annual Members’ Conference taking place in Birmingham on Thursday 19 October 2023. Further information including registration details will be shared in due course.

NRAS founder and National Patient Champion, Ailsa Bosworth presented at the Royal Society of Medicine on the services that NRAS offer and the impacts of the Society’s work within the RA community.

Webinar – getUBetter in MSK Physiotherapy setting

On 19 January 2023, getUBetter is running a webinar with Somerset MSK Physiotherapy service practitioners to discuss their experiences of implementing the getUBetter digital self-management tool across their clinical services. They will share the results of their evaluation of the app’s impact across the service, where they found a 50% reduction in patients needing physiotherapy after the getUBetter app was given to those on their waiting list.

NOA webinar offers opportunity for meaningful conversations about women in orthopaedics.

Following a thought-provoking session at the NOA Annual Members’ Conference in October focussed on Women in Orthopaedics, the NOA hosted a lunchtime webinar to continue the conversation.
