This year’s Psoriasis Awareness Week 2020 runs from Thursday 29 October (World Psoriasis Day) to Wednesday 4 November.
This year, the theme will be ‘types of psoriasis’, based around answering some of the ‘unknown knowns’ that came out of the recent Psoriasis Priority Setting Partnership. Over the course of the week, the Psoriasis Association will focus on a different type of psoriasis each day, chosen from those which are most commonly asked about on the helpline. On Wednesday 4 November, the spotlight will be on Psoriatic Arthritis and nails.
During the day, Dr Laura Coates will be giving an update on the new Psoriatic Arthritis Priority Setting Partnership and there are a number of initiatives planned including video content, shared stories and new resources.
Also on 4 November, the Psoriasis Association are offering a free webinar event organised jointly between them and St John’s Derm Academy, featuring discussion from psoriasis experts Prof. Jonathan Barker, Dr Satveer Mahil and Psoriasis Association Chief Executive Helen McAteer. The evening will also offer insights from PsoProtect and PsoProtectMe, the registries behind vital research into COVID-19 and psoriasis while attendees will have the opportunity to ask the panel questions in the Q&A session at the end.
