Physio First wins funding for development of EDI checklist for CSP Professional Networks
Physio First is one of the professional networks of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and represents private practitioners. They have been successful in gaining some funding from CSP to help them and other professional networks to identify barriers and challenges to producing their own individual Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) policies. This successful funding bid has been achieved in conjunction with another of the CSP’s networks, who focus on diversity, the LGBTQIA+ network. Working together, they have produced a video submission to the funding panel explaining the aims of the project, which are to identify and produce a checklist of questions for all the CSP’s professional networks to use as a starting point from which they can formulate their own EDI policy.
Representatives from each professional network will be invited to take part in a series of three, two-hour facilitated chat-style meetings. Facilitators experienced in this type of work will tease out key points from participants in a safe space environment, to enable each network to take the work forward in a way which is applicable to their own network members.
