The Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) has launched a new Bone Health Accreditation Scheme, which is aiming to help people to make good choices for their bones by displaying a ‘Bone Health Approved’ logo on products.
A wide range of products and services can now apply to the use the logo on their packaging and marketing materials, including foods, beverages, supplements and living aids. ROS bone health experts will then assess the claims that a product is making about bone health, and once approved, organisations can use the logo to show that their product or service is good for bones.
Wherever consumers see the logo, they can be confident that the product is good for bones – when taken together with a healthy diet and active lifestyle.
