Psoriasis Update annual conference round up

On 22^nd June 2024, The Psoriasis Association were delighted to host the ‘Psoriasis Update: What you need to know’ conference in Manchester. The day was highly successful and received positive feedback from attendees.

The morning session included talks from Dr Helen Young, Dr Zenas Yiu and research students Binh Phan and Heber Bright. Topics such as the impact of exercise on psoriasis and biologic treatments were discussed.

A fireside chat on Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) was held by Russ Cowper, Psoriasis Association Trustee.…

ORUK to co-host MSK Innovation Forum

Orthopaedic Research UK (ORUK) and the National Institute of for Health and Care Research (NIHR) are co- hosting an online MSK Innovation Forum on 19^th July 2024, that will bring together clinicians, engineers, scientists and entrepreneurs to discuss the MSK innovation challenge.

During the forum the NIHR will present the results of a horizon scan identifying emerging MSK medical and digital health and care technologies from around the world. The event will also feature innovation case studies and the opportunity to share best practices and discuss challenges facing MSK innovators.…

NASS at the EULAR Congress

The National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society (NASS) will be at EULAR Congress to present on their supported self-management for people living with axial SpA.

Programme Manager Zoë Clark will present in the session ‘Exploring self-management: definitions and life’ on Saturday, 15 June 2024 at 11.45am.

Creating your AS flare toolkit

Act Now Report Parliamentary Launch Event

Last week ARMA held a Parliamentary launch for the Act Now report on MSK inequalities.

We were delighted to be joined by so many members, contributors to the report and leaders in MSK. There was a palpable energy in the room and a sense of commitment across the breadth of MSK health to tackle inequalities together.

We were privileged to have MP Tom Randall, Chair of the Axial Spondyloarthritis All Party Group in Westminster, host the event. His recognition of the report’s timeliness underscored the importance of the report’s recommendations.…

NRAS Live: NEIAA 5 years on

Join the monthly NRAS Live on Wednesday 28^th February. This month, Clare will be in discussion with Professor James Galloway, who will be presenting 5 years of the National Early Inflammatory Arthritis Audit (NEIAA). James is the Analytics Lead for the NEIAA and an Academic Rheumatologist, Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. There will be a panel discussion as to what five years of data gathering has brought to light, what’s changed over the years and how such national audits drive improvements in patient care.…
