Under the theme of ‘Tackling Infection‘, the 2021 BOA Congress will take place 21–24 September 2021 at P&J Live, The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA).
In a slight change from previous years, BOA abstract submissions – including those from medical students – will open and close on the same dates; the BOA is pleased to announce that abstract submissions are now open and will close on Friday 7 May 2021.

Due to COVID-19 and current restrictions, this year’s Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists AGM will be held virtually via Zoom webinar on Monday 30 November 2020 at 6.30pm.

This year’s Psoriasis Awareness Week 2020 runs from Thursday 29 October (World Psoriasis Day) to Wednesday 4 November.
This year, the theme will be ‘types of psoriasis’, based around answering some of the ‘unknown knowns’ that came out of the recent Psoriasis Priority Setting Partnership. Over the course of the week, the Psoriasis Association will focus on a different type of psoriasis each day, chosen from those which are most commonly asked about on the helpline. The theme for this year’s campaign is Back Pain in Nursing.
The campaign will, with the assistance of BackCare‘s flagship publication Handling of People (HOP6), prevent significant back injuries in the Nursing profession. Many nurses will benefit from training which is provided by the National Back Exchange organisation.
