This month sees Bone and Joint Week and I am looking forward to cutting the ribbon at our virtual launch event and declaring the week open. It’s a week of celebration of the importance of musculoskeletal health and its role in enabling us to live independent healthy lives. It’s a chance of all of us to come together and celebrate the role we play in promoting good MSK health and support for those with MSK conditions. My AS, My Life is a resource hub from NASS to help you build the confidence and skills you need for those times when you have to manage your axial SpA (AS) condition on your own.
It includes self-management guides, videos, blogs and links to a whole range of issues covering both your physical and mental health.

Physio First gets face-to-face with international colleagues to talk about value
Physio First, the professional network of the CSP representing physios working in private practice, attended a hybrid meeting in September alongside representatives from private practices in 17 different countries.
IPPTA is the subgroup of World Physiotherapy that represents the interests of private practitioners in members’ countries. In Helsinki, Finland, the focus for the business meeting was to concentrate one of the main IPPTA strategic goals, which is “to help private physiotherapy organisations help their members to determine and compete on quality and evidenced based value.”…

The latest NOA webinar took place on 15 September 2021. The session included a powerful presentation from orthopaedic patient, Val Harvey, who has shared her journey throughout the pandemic with the NOA and joined the webinar for an update. Paul Jenkins, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Scottish Committee for Orthopaedic and Trauma (SCOT) looked at how COVID-19 has impacted orthopaedic services in Scotland, and the programme of remobilisation, redesign and recovery. Orthopaedic Quality Improvement (including Clinical Audit) Network (OQICAN) Learning Forum
The next OQICAN forum takes place on 30 November 2021 from 12pm – 1:30pm and will feature presentations from:

Psoriasis Awareness Week 2021
29 October – 4 November 2021
This year’s Psoriasis Awareness Week begins on Friday 29 October (World Psoriasis Day) and runs until Thursday 4 November. The theme for 2021 will focus on lifestyle changes that people who are living with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis can make to better manage their condition, including diet and exercise.
The Psoriasis Association has lots of exciting plans for the week, including two Facebook Live sessions with experts in nutrition and exercise, and for the first time ever there will be a Psoriasis Awareness Week fundraiser to encourage supporters to get active and raise awareness!…
