This webinar will feature experts in data quality and related ethical challenges and focus on addressing common challenges associated with the use of AI in clinical research including data bias, missing data, and ethical concerns.
The webinar is free to attend but delegates must register in advance.

The British Orthopaedic Association is running the Training Orthopaedic Trainers (TOTs) course on Monday, March 24th 2025.
The programme is aimed to improve the standard of teaching for those in trauma and orthopaedic (T&O) training and practice entirely online. The underlying premise of TOTs is that if T&O trainers understand how people learn and how the T&O curriculum works, by translating that understanding into action, they should improve their teaching.

Lupus UK Youth is pleased to launch a new booklet to support and prepare young people with lupus during the transition from paediatrics to adult services. It is based on the T-KASH (Transition Knowledge and Skills in Healthcare) model developed by young people with lived experience from Alström Syndrome UK, and includes tips and a workbook format to help young people think through their individual transition journey.
As lupus is a life-long condition, effective transition from paediatric to adult services is a vital part of healthcare for young people with lupus.…

getUBetter, in partnership with UWE Bristol and NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICS, has secured research funding from the National Institute of Health and Care Research Invention for Innovation programme to provide real-world evidence for national adoption.
The funding will further support getUBetter in evaluating the impact of the MSK service on patients, clinicians, and the health system, as well as looking at the cost-effectiveness of integrating digital self-management support for non-specific low back pain into ICS MSK clinical pathways.…

ARMA has submitted a response to the Government’s consultation on the NHS 10-Year Plan.
The submission was produced with ARMA members who gave their views in a series of meetings. The response calls for MSK conditions to have the long-overdue acknowledgment and equal footing alongside other long-term conditions and highlights the substantial impact that MSK conditions have on individuals’ lives, the NHS and the wider economy.

Last week I was in London with ARMA trustees discussing future plans and opportunities. An optimistic, upbeat meeting full of hope and pride in an organisation that is making a difference. One thing which will make a difference to those opportunities will be the outcome of the Government’s new ten year plan for the NHS.

The latest Orthopaedic Research (ORUK) Impact Report highlights how the charity continues to make a difference by focusing its investments, partnering with others and supporting the wider MSK research ecosystem through training, events and networking. It continues to be one of the most important funders of MSK research in the UK and the only charity to cover all MSK conditions.
ORUK co-funded research projects worth over £2m in 2023/24. This research funding was allocated to diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention, and a wide range of MSK conditions affecting all body parts including cell bone and soft tissue biology, biomechanics and prosthetics, osteoarthritis, bone fractures, spinal conditions, trauma, bone cancer, rehabilitation and fibromyalgia.…
