SOMM Annual Teachers’ Study Day

SOMM Teachers' DaySOMM Annual Teachers’ Study Day: Reflecting, Sharing, and Planning Ahead

SOMM recently hosted their Annual Teachers’ Study Day, an important event in the SOMM calendar. This day provides a unique opportunity for the teaching team to reflect on the past year, review and refine course content, and share innovative ideas that enhance the learning experience for students. It’s also a time to look forward, ensuring the Society’s teaching remains at the forefront of musculoskeletal medicine.

All courses have now been scheduled for 2026, continuing to uphold the high standards that define SOMM’s programmes. Importantly, these courses remain credit-rated by Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh, reinforcing the academic rigor and quality assurance that underpin everything the Society does.

For students, this means a clear and exciting pathway for progression: up to 80 SOMM credits can be applied towards the Advancing Practice in Musculoskeletal Medicine MSc at QMU. This collaboration ensures that professional development with SOMM not only advances clinical expertise but also contributes meaningfully to academic achievement.

As we move into 2026, SOMM looks forward to another year of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in musculoskeletal medicine education.
