Inflammatory Arthritis UK (IAUK) is a new patient-led charity run by volunteers living with inflammatory arthritis. Their vision and mission centres on inspiring resilience and empowering lives for anyone of any age living with inflammatory arthritis. They will be providing people with the support, guidance and resources they need to take control of lives and navigate uncertain times with confidence and resilience.
“Great idea for a charity, I have found attitude and resilience to have been the most important things so far and have certainly been a on a massive journey the last couple of years with it (IA)”.
The IAUK’s weekly podcast Inflammatory! was launched on 10th January 2025, with a new edition coming out every Friday. IAUK wants everyone to understand what life is like living with a chronic fluctuating disease. Its founders, Debbie and Katy, give a unique insight into their lives covering the ups and downs of living with IA whilst trying to have the positive mindset to inspire resilience, empower lives and help the public understand life with IA. So far, the podcast has covered the day they were diagnosed, the impact on their families, the day Debbie’s daughter was also diagnosed with JIA, and a deep dive into the impact it has had on their mental health.
“Great Podcasts I look forward to the next and thank you for spreading awareness of this horrid condition.”
“Looking forward to the next episode. I’ve had RA for at least 20 years, but your story was like it was mine. Could relate so much of it the ups the downs thank you.”
