The Institute of Osteopathy is running a series of educational CPD webinars to improve the recognition and management of spinal red flag pathologies for osteopaths and other healthcare practitioners. The first session focused on Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES) which was well attended and received. The series continues with osteoporosis and insufficiency fractures, vascular pathologies of the neck, and neurological screening. Aquatics and swimming programme for all health and social care staff
The Aquatic Activity and Swimming for Health e-learning programme is now available for everyone within health and social care settings.
Previously only available for colleagues with an NHS email address, the programme can now be accessed by all.
The resource, developed in partnership with Swim England, Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (ATACP) and the University of Nottingham, raises awareness of the benefits of aquatic activity on health and wellbeing and will enhance learners’ confidence in identifying patients who would benefit most.…

Empowering the next generation of MSK Innovators
Applications are now open for the MSK Innovation Accelerator programme, hosted by MedTech SuperConnector and part funded by Orthopaedic Research UK (ORUK).
The programme is designed to accelerate the development of musculoskeletal innovation and thereby create and scale early-stage MSK ventures across the UK. It will involve a 6 month intensive learning journey, providing participants with entrepreneurship training, masterclasses and access to expertise. The accelerator learning content is part-time.
