NRAS Fundraising on Kilimanjaro

Mount KilimanjaroClimbing Kilimanjaro for NRAS

A group of enthusiastic explorers from the Midlands will be showing true dedication to their patients by giving themselves a mountain to climb. Ten nurses, physios and occupational therapists will be taking on the challenge of a lifetime as they attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.

The team, based at hospitals all across the Midlands have taken inspiration for this challenge from their patients who all live with chronic debilitating conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, and for whom every day can feel like a mountain to climb. One of the group – Heather – said ‘We thought it would be a great way to raise NRAS’s profile as we are all very passionate about our profession and patients’.
