Physiotherapists have an important role to play in research, CSP members, council members, officers and stakeholders heard at an event to celebrate the achievements of the society over the past year.

 The CSP event was held at the Royal Society for Medicine and was very well attended. The event included the celebration of the launch of ‘Physiotherapy Works’ and the growth of the AHP Research Network. 

 

Physiotherapy-led cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is a clinical and cost effective intervention for those living with cardiovascular disease.

 

The  ‘Physiotherapy works’ focus on physiotherapy approaches to treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, working with stroke patients, occupational health and musculoskeletal disorders.

 

Physiotherapy, as part of an intensive, multidisciplinary programme of rehabilitation, is an effective intervention for patients chronically disabled by obstructive pulmonary disease. Please use the PDF link below to download a copy of this document.

 

Council chair Ann Green, who opened the event, said the combined voice of AHPs had been crucial in the campaign against the proposed NHS reforms.

AHPs working together is what’s important  Ms Green said.
